Oatmeal-lavender bath ball

Saturday Night Shenanigans!!!

My cuz and I were painting πŸ–Ό and she was talking about a skin issue her son has. I decided to make her a oatmeal-lavender bath ball πŸ› Both oatmeal and lavender are naturally soothing for skin. Apricot oil is a natural moisturizer and has helped me with my eczema.

In the midst of making it, I thought to take a few pictures to share with you all.

I didn’t measure anything. I mixed about 1/4 cup apricot oil with 15 drops @youngliving lavender essential oil. Then poured that into about 2 cups of @quaker old fashion oats. Mixed until all oats are coated.

Spooned half of mixture into a pantyhose (you can use cheesecloth or something permeable like a giant tea bag).

Secure end so that the oats don’t leak out. Easy peasy 😁 Now when lil man gets his next bath, he will soak and have some relief!

Linen Spray the Natural Way

I love good smelling stuff!

Unfortunately for me, most of the scented products available on the market have a lot of synthetic chemicals in them which make it difficult for me to breathe.

Thankfully, I have my Young Living pure essential oils. Making my own linen spray is easy and does not cause me to have any adverse respiratory reactions. I consider that to be a win-win situation 😊

For my bed sheets, I used lavender and orange and I called the mix “Sweet Dreams”.

Side note, I had 2 happy dreams last night. Was it the linen spray? Maybe 😊

While you can make a variety of linen and room sprays based on your personal scent preferences, the base is the same.

Linen/Room Spray

1 tablespoon Vodka or Rubbing alcohol

3 tablespoons Distilled water

20-35 drops essential oil (start with a little to determine what you like)

I used 25 drops lavender & 15 drops orange
